Back by popular demand, the 2014 edition of the Cafe 2 Cafe will be held on Saturday May, 31st! To keep things fresh, I've changed the route completely and we will now be riding exclusively on North Shore roads. Like the previous C2C's, free espresso will be supplied at the start by Seaside Cycle and free drip coffee will be supplied at the Atomic Cafe rest stop in Newburyport. Gels and drink mix will be supplied by Hammer Nutrition.
Here's everything else you'll need to know:
- Date: 31st of May
- Cost: Preregistration is $25 (Bikereg link to be supplied soon!) and Day-of-event will be $30

- Location: Seaside Cycle - 23 Elm St, Manchester, MA 01944
- Time: Arrive no later than 8am, we'll be rolling off at 8:30am
- Route: From Manchester, MA to Newburyport, MA and back to Manchester, MAA
- Garmin file will be supplied via email prior to the event
- Distance: 60-70 miles
- Pace: 18-20 Average (Note that this is over a 70mile distance, please keep this in mind before signing up)
- Nonsupported: This is a group ride and not a race, there will be no neutral support or vehicles following us and you are responsible for yourself & your bike (IE: bring a cell phone, cash, spare tube, CO2, etc)
- Parking: There are limited "free" spots available near Seaside Cycle, so I suggest both carpooling as well as parking somewhere in the surrounding area and riding over to the shop (IE: don't park in spots where you'll get ticketed)
All funds raised will go to supporting my friend, Bekah:
Bekah is a theatre innovator, barista, educator, and joy-maker. She was diagnosed with leukemia, has undergone a stem cell transplant and is now recovering. Funds raised will support Bekah throughout this battle - housing, food, travel to/from hospital, and medical bills. The goal is for us to keep financial stress as far away from Bekah as possible until she is performing and teaching again.
